Franco
Fonzo è nato a Treviso nel 1952 dove vive e lavora, ha frequentato
gli studi artistici a Venezia, prima al Liceo Artistico (con Armando
Pizzinato e Francesco Messina ), poi presso l'Istituto Universitario
di Architettura.
Ha seguito la scuola del nudo all'Accademia di Belle Arti di Venezia
e successivamente ha approfondito le tecniche dell'incisione presso
il Centro Internazionale della Grafica. Nel 1988 promuove la nascita
della Galleria d'Arte del Centro Culturale Giorgione, ora Galleria Web
Art, della quale è il direttore artistico. Dal 2005 è
il direttore organizzativo ed artistico della Fiera d'Arte Contemporanea
"ARTE IN FIERA", presso l'Ente Fiere di Longarone (BL), Dal
72 è presente con mostre personali e collettive in Italia e all'estero

He was born in 1952 in Treviso, where he now lives
and works.
He attended art courses in Venice, at the Liceo Artistico ( with Armando
Pizzinato and Francesco Messina) first and then at the University Institute
of Architecture.
He attended the school of nude at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice
and has specialized in engraving techniques at the International Graphic
Centre.
In 1988 he became the promoter of the Art Gallery of the Cultural Centre
“Giorgione” in Treviso, now “ Web Art Gallery”,
of which he is the art director.
He has taken part in several art competitions, getting prizes and awards.
Since 1972 he has been active on the Italian and international art scene
with personal exhibitions:
in 1991 in Paris at the Italian Chamber of Commerce; in 1991 and 1993
MIXART Contemporary Art exhibition at “Casa dei Carraresi”
– Fondazione Cassamarca in Treviso; in 1994 and 1996 in Weiz (Austria);
in 1995 in Rome ( Parco dei Principi) and in 2000 in Heidelberg (Germany).
Many of his works are present in private and public collections in Italy
and abroad.
